Starbucks Wedding Ceremony - "In the Presence of These Baristas, I Now Pronounce You Husband and Wife!" By Celebrity Wedding Officiator Dr. Linda

Grandma, Grandpa & Their Starbucks Wedding

A Story Only Hours Old

What Kind Of Celebrity Wedding Officiator Weds A Couple In A California Starbucks?

A wedding officiator can be interesting. Along with skill and experience, perhaps, a little “free spirited” tempered by dedication and discipline. After all “free spirit” makes him or her creative, and the discipline makes them reliable.  With a “flexible” soul, a good officiator would preside the most quirky to the most predictably practical ceremony themes. And, that is exactly the type that one looks for when you are a grandmother and grandfather eloping to Starbucks.

Today, the same Celebrity Wedding Officiator, whose co-officiator was once actor Rob Lowe, dashed off to the Orange County Clerk to pick up a marriage license.  And, from there, then off to a local Southern California Starbucks. Dr. Brian waited to meet a very much in a hurry grandmother bride and a grandfather groom. For this celebrity officiator, this was not his first Starbucks’ wedding.  This grandmother bride, taking a short absence from her pregnant daughter-in-law’s bedside, was not at Starbucks for a frappuccino! All she wanted to hear was “I Do” and “I now pronounce that you husband and wife….!” Perhaps, this couple would not have chosen a Starbucks in which to marry, but “Life Happened”!  With a daughter-in-law’s delicate pregnancy, simple but profound was the order. None-the-less, our celebrity officiator found himself marrying a very appreciative couple. They didn’t plan their wedding for a year. No, they didn’t spend thousands of dollars, but, their chosen priority to be married before the grand baby arrived, meant more.  So, in this crowded Starbucks, to grandma and grandpa, a moment so private, that they didn’t even kiss in the presence of coffee drinking strangers.  It was a sacred but brief ceremony at Starbucks for these two, and our officiator treated it with the love and respect it deserved.  Soon, this couple will be helping to change lots of diapers, but as a married grandmother and grandfather!

Let's Start A Fun Discussion With A Celebrity Wedding Officiators

Wedding Professionals & Brides Shake Hands And Come Out Wedding Planning Readers! Help! Does Anyone Read Wedding Articles Anymore?

United States - November 5th 2013 The cash register’s software was down. The sale was made, but
 www.facebook.com/legallymarried
what about the amount due back? The downed registered highlighted the fact, that the retail clerk didn’t know how to count the required change due at the end of the transaction!
  - She had never learned how to do this! This article is about something like this. If you don’t read this article, then you prove my point. And, if you do, perhaps we can talk about smartening up the wedding industry, and inspiring thoughtful brides through providing great wedding planning learning platforms via Internet.

A cursory Internet review of keywords related to “wedding articles” left me briefly stunned.  Mind you, an exhaustive or detailed survey could render a different yield. But, at present, the findings seem to suggest far more interest in wedding related reading amongst the English, Australian, Canadian and New Zealand peoples! Or, at the very least, even if not true, certainly, these countries' citizens seem more aggressive at bringing content to the top of search engine recognitions. Also, not a scientific experiment, certainly there are variables or exceptions to consider.

Moreover, when coupling the above with anecdotal experience, I find cause to further wonder. If this generation’s American bride is not devoted to education through reading…. And, if the American wedding professional is not locked into professional growth through writing, discussing and reading.... then, how do they learn?  Is it possible that American brides or their wedding professionals are not convinced about learning this way? Nor, that some of the most impressive and imperative learning comes from organized ideas and facts formed into word communications?

A prominent national wedding professional wrote:

“We offered to write blog articles for wedding professionals, and at no charge.  But, the value of the offer failed them. Then, looking at their blogs or Facebooks’ or other social networking efforts…. Well, they were not even well plotted or tended verbal gardens. Vacant and filled with nothing, or something looking much like verbal weeds.  Also, there were no signs of life, like that often seen through the participation of others stopping by for a good discussion, or to procure some new wedding planning insight. There were few or no comments, discourses, objections, etc. Why?”
Moreover, we too even offered career wedding service providers and brides the opportunity to add to our articles, or help us write relevant ones. But, only a few takers! Don’t get me wrong, our articles are read. It is more the lack of participatory interest that is glaring! Collaboration is a wonderful way to accomplish many important goals through teamwork. And, if you are reading this article, I don’t need to tell you this. In fact, for those who have participated, thank you. Professionals, such as Wedding Manners expert, Maria Erdman and Healthy Bride Nutritionist Donna Schuller are a few of the exceptional experts who have collaborated with some fine article writing. With new articles scheduled for the future.
For the American bride, is it really true that she just doesn’t want to learn in this way? Perhaps, she thinks a simple “Internet search” will make her a wedding expert! Or, is she just the product of a failed school system, which does not emphasize the basics, while, at the same time, ascribing a “god-like” self worth to her that leaves an unwitting bankruptcy?

www.facebook.com/legallymarried
Why Read Wedding Articles? Just a Few Thoughts, Please Help Me Add to the List:

1. We are wired to learn. So learn!
2. We find joy in learning. So be joyful!
3. We mature through discussion & thought. So grow & discuss!
4. We pass on good information to the next generation. So pass it on!
5. We avert mistakes, by learning from those who didn’t dodge them. So do it rightly!
6. We are exposed to things that we did not know. - Giving us new things to try. So, try something new!
7. We learn from experts, determining what is outside our reach, makes us wise consumers – This helps the non-expert to direct time and efforts and expectations accordingly.
8. It is a wedding professionals obligation to advise, and writing about their subject is a vehicle. So, advise!
9. It is a part of a bride’s wedding planning enjoyment. So, enjoy!
10. Generally, reading energizes critical thinking. Critical thinking is “valuable livings” advisory tool, medicine, and protector!
11. It encourages and develops creativity while participating in a planning endeavour. So, be creative!

Let’s add more…. Your thoughts?

Concluding Thoughts

There is a lot to learn that must be placed in print, so to speak. – Both for the one writing, and the one reading! Not to mention how amazing the wedding planning experience could be, if done in an educated manner. So, wedding professionals, how shall we teach them? How shall we learn without discussion and the important interpersonal communication of writing and reading?  Brides, when planning a wedding, thinking about things is beneficial.  And doing that through reading wedding articles or contributing to a written discussion can propagate a sort of “Wedding Planning Nirvana”.

About This ArticleWhy aren’t they reading wedding articles? My article is not a rant, but, about an observation. It is about the potential loss of something valuable, both for the wedding professional and the wedding planning bride. Take time to write, read and discuss wedding articles, then share the joy of learning with others. Wedding professionals make the wedding industry what it could be through increasing knowledge and understanding, while honing your skill set. Through the reading of wedding articles, brides explore the wedding planning process by acquiring new ideas, facts and interests. Make the journey to the wedding aisle interesting and memorable. If not for any other reason, your first grade reading teacher would be proud! Use it or lose it!

The New Look In “Wedding Crashers” - This Wedding Crasher Isn’t The Wedding Officiator, But, She Could Have Been! (True Wedding Story) By Celebrity Wedding Officiator Dr. Linda

www.facebook.com/legallymarried
United States - Oct 6, 2013 - Start with a beautiful Southern California night, then, note a brightly lit structure in the distant hills. And, now, imagine a second one, almost exactly like the first – With one structure parallel to the other, just on different hills.  Passing through a chain of green lights, you travel towards both hill-side palaces, just as it has quickly slipped into the night with the brightness of the sun replaced by twinkling party lights. Choosing the left gate and ascending the hill is altogether festive. There, along with the tender breezes at the top, are happily racing parking attendant-greeters and an amazing view of the Catalina Islands. Yet, as majestic as this moment might be, you are there to work!
Early, as usual, you exit your automobile. Immediately, you navigate the people crowded entrance, walk straight past the wedding venue’s hostess, and right down to the ceremony area. Surveying the layout, saying “hello” to the other wedding vendors, doing a microphone “sound – check”, and, so forth. There, diligently going through your pre-ceremony paces, always competent, helpful, and organized. – But, then, it happens, you hear the marrying couple’s first and last names mentioned….. Oops, your innocent mistake hits hard, much like that childhood “belly flop” on a swimming pool’s hard watery surface. And, under your breath, you say, “I am on the wrong hill!”   Now, you are not the usual “Wedding Crasher”, because you are a “Wedding Officiator!”  This kind of crashing is excusable, and even humorous, especially if it is by a diligent and legitimate marriage officiant. NoteBy the way, exiting quickly, but still early, the real officiator of this true story found her bride and groom at the wedding venue on the other hill!
Real Wedding Crashers Use Credit Cards Just Like Your Wedding Guests & Might Leave You With The Check!
At any large hotel, there could be three or four or five wedding celebrations in one four hour
www.facebook.com/legallymarried
time-block. In fact, as a wedding officiator, scouting out my contracted ceremony event, I have innocently walked into the wrong already happening reception and been greeted warmly by the unsuspecting! It is just that easy to do! So, what about the new wedding crasher? Are they drawn to the open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres at a wedding cocktail hour? Maybe, the monetary treasures in envelopes ready for picking on the gift table? Perhaps, he or she is using your wedding day much like a “dating service”.  Certainly, there could be those.
Human “creativity” is either noble or dastardly, and amid rising hotel rates, crashers are after your discount. You might say, “Oh well, the more the merrier!”, but, like with anything stolen from the innocents, enough of that kind of activity ruins it for others.  Then, the correction becomes corporal, much like punishing the whole fifth grade class just because of one obsessively pesky student transgressor.
The experts say today’s “Wedding Crasher” is getting in on the lower price connected with a block of rooms for a wedding or a corporate event. Apparently, rates are steeper during high-demand times such as wedding season or a busy convention period. And the wickedly resourceful know it. This crime of a “stow-away” or “camouflaged” wedding guest is so easily perpetrated. In fact, it is the 68 percent of the marrying engaged, with their public wedding websites doing the “aiding and abetting”. How you might ask?
www.facebook.com/legallymarried

The Good Thing That Is Also The Bad Thing

The simple act of the on-line posting of important wedding organizational details for genuine wedding guest attendees is the culprit.  For those “devious for a discount”, a wedding website provides guest information, such as where to book rooms and deal codes that often are not password-protected. Crashing a block is easy enough to do with just a quick search for "wedding block," (along with a location and date), yielding potential dozens of examples.
Wedding website couples, not-to-worry, and hotel purveyors don’t punish the “whole for the few”.  Even though “crashers” fly under the radar, it is easy to determine if one is a victim. Together, with a representative of the hotel hosting your wedding guests, go through the names in your discounted block regularly. If you don’t recognize a name or two, just let them know. If your “discount code” was used by a “Wedding Crasher”, the hotel might suggest the typical protocol for this offense.

Finally, a bit of a warning too … Realize that Hotels aren't overly concerned about crashers, as it's better to sell a room than have it go empty. So, engaged couples, this leaves it to you to thwart interlopers. Do be diligent to catch any crashers in your room blocks. Too many couples “asleep at the wheel” could result in legitimate guests' paying higher rates or being unable to book at all. Those not-caught uninvited can also leach right under your nose. Perhaps, even padding the bill for things you might pay for per head for your guests, such as breakfast, shuttle use or gift placed in rooms. Certainly, there may be other un-intended consequences. So, for all of us innocents, Happy “Wedding Crasher” sleuthing

Healthy Bride Wedding Planning By Celebrity Wedding Officiator Dr. Linda & Certified Nutritionist Donna Schuller

www.facebook.com/legallymarried
October 3, 2013 - United States - A True Wedding Story  - It was about 9 p.m.. Lisa, a bride-to-be, and Dr. Linda were to go over wedding ceremony details via telephone.  Lisa answered her cell-phone, almost as if out-of-breath, her exhaustion ruminated. "How are you Lisa", said Dr. Linda....Lisa answered, "I am exhausted... So tired, even if I get sleep, my engine is running low!"  Dear reader, Lisa is not the only bride on the verge of collapse! The tired state of a bride is a common theme in the "getting married" community. Work and school and wedding planning, or "just life" and wedding planning has deleterious effects on even the "good-natured" and "well-healthed" engaged woman. From "What colour lipstick, nail and toe polish should I wear?" to "I want you to be my wedding officiator, Dr. Linda", the research, going here and there, and the decision making aligned with the over-all wedding planning is physically debilitating. As a bride "treads water" or "wades" through the planning process, she becomes simply beat! So, if a common problem, why don't we see more about this?

I think, in all of living, as in planning a wedding, the "becoming healthy or keeping healthy" is not something that is practiced overall. Personally, I have studied Naturopathic Medicine for over 25 years. In basic terms, this is the study of encouraging the human body's own ability to repair or to continue in a healthier state.  Lisa, my bridal client, needed this kind of help, and now! What bride-to-be doesn't want lovely skin on her wedding day, or whiter teeth or.....?  It is a fact, when in physical pain or discomfort, a person does not enjoy their day in the same way, as when pain-free! And, every bride should enjoy their wedding planning and their wedding day.

In starting with the "pillar of the wedding planning endeavour", the bride..... May I introduce to you..... Nutritionist Donna Schuller. In our newest edition, Donna, as a Health & Wellness expert, will bring "Healthy Bride Wedding Planning" tips to our Wedding Social Network. She has been a bride, mother of two brides and of the groom (one more son to go!), also is a wellness coach -  This is a perfect combination of experience and learning!

Here is Donna's first contribution: Certified Nutritionist Donna Schuller

"I've been a parent at three of my four grown children's weddings so far.  I have been married for almost twenty-nine years.  I know from experience that when you're planning a wedding there's a lot to consider. Starting with yourself and your spouse-to-be.  Are you on the 'same page' when it comes to body, mind, soul health?  Do you have similarly aligned goals and aspirations for the future?  Is your spiritual life active and do you agree on how to raise a family when it comes to religious teachings?  Do you take care of your physical body by exercising regularly and do you agree most of the time on healthy food choices?  Are you carrying any heavy 'baggage' into the relationship as it pertains to unresolved issues with your family-of-origin?  Remember: what doesn't get worked out gets acted out.
Although as the saying goes, "opposites attract", it is important that you are not opposite when it comes to issues regarding your overall health.   Make sure that you are both committed in achieving and maintaining health in all three areas of your person before you tie the knot.   Remember that the person you marry is the person you get!  You can do very little to change them so start aligning yourselves for total body, mind, soul health before the big day.  The great news is this:  you have come to this website to gain knowledge and insight so that your future together can be all that you want it to be. Congratulations!"

ENGAGED & WEDDING PLANNING - “IF IT WERE A WEDDING SNAKE IT WOULD HAVE BITTEN ME!” By National Celebrity Ceremony Officiator, Writer & Educator- Dr. Linda Wainwright Trott

Article & Images Copyright Dr. Linda @2013
United States - Sept 2nd 2013- Your engagement might be new, but, this wedding planning tip is as ancient as time! There is an old adage directed to the phenomena of a person not seeing something staring directly at them – “If it were a snake, it would have bitten me!”  Stop, think for a minute.  There are many things that we do not see, but affect us none-the-less.  For example, you can’t see the air that you are breathing in.  – But, stop breathing it, and you will die!  We can’t physically see a “thought” or a “feeling”, but, perhaps their expressions. What about the human cells which repair your body?  - They produce healing, whether you see them or not! None of these can be seen with the naked eye, yet, they navigate the fate of the essential things which support life. Our living is influenced by countless unseen protagonists and antagonists.

BRIDES JUST DON’T SEE IT COMING! THE VENOMOUS WEDDING SNAKE STRIKES FAST,  HARD AND, IT IS POWERFULLY RELENTLESS

Question - How does this relate to wedding planning?  Answer,You take you wherever you go!”  “What!” you exclaim!

A True Bride Dilemma - The Solution Is Both Simple And Profound!

“She, a bride-to-be, had a horrible time deciding what wedding cake, dress, shoes, location, etc.   After all, it was all about the budget, and sticking to it. In fact, she and her groom had so financially little, well, there really wasn’t a budget!”  They planned their wedding on a “hope and a prayer!” And, with every bombardment of suggestions, the dilemma accrued momentum, to the point of “critical mass”.  Does this describe you, yet?

In short, my dear bride, our culture has hold of you, and it will not let you go!  Twisted communications come from every where demanding you obey.  – This is exactly what you must have to be a happy bride!   From the “greedy” wedding professional to the celebrity’s $ 6,000.00 for a pair of bridal shoes! – Also, weighing in are magazines, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, your friends, or mum who wants you to have what she didn’t!  Help!  Brides are screaming from the four corners of America, “Stop The World, I Want To Get Off!”

IDENTIFYING THE PROVERBIAL VENOMOUS WEDDING SNAKE BEFORE IT BITES
“A Perspective Check, More Important Than A Financial Reality Check”

Article & Images Copyright 2013 - Dr.Linda
“Wedding Planning starts with values.  Is guided by values, succeeds with them, and fails without them!” Dr. Linda

My father used to say, “Well, when I found out what was causing it, I stopped!”  - This to be the solution to that “unwanted thing” repetitively occurring.  But, me, I would rather identify the phantom before it bites.  This is what I mean by, “You take yourself with you every where you go!”  So, why not know you better! Who you are is identifiable, if you take the time to be a “self-identifer”.  And, this is true to determining the wedding planning values that really matter.  These values go far beyond the wedding day.  So, begin a “Wedding Values” List today.  – This idea and practice, is a Dr. Linda original!  I will even start you off, and, then continue the series of “Wedding Planning Values” questions in the future.

1.  Picture yourself 20 years after your wedding.  Perhaps, long after your Great –Aunt or Father or dearest friend has passed away.  When you look back, what gives you the “warm and fuzzies”, or “puts a smile on your face”? What really matters to you then? – The pleasant memory of that “frozen in time” hug with your father or dearest friend, or your rhinestone Louis Vuitton wedding shoes? - Those hours talking about your joy-filled future marriage with your Great- Auntie at Starbucks, or your rhinestone Louis Vuitton wedding shoes?  Your answer says a lot about you, now. And, it makes a statement about how much you need a “Wedding Planning Values” List before you start planning!

Jaded No More - The True North of Wedding Planning Idealism- The Bride, the Groom, the Wedding Professional & the Genuine Stuff

August 15, 2013 - United States - By Dr. Linda Wainwright Trott, a “Wedding Values” Writer, Educator & Celebrity Public Speaker Officiator - Helping Wedding Professional stay true to the idealism Intrinsic to the Wedding Industry. www.facebook.com/legallymarried & info@theclergynetwork.com

Sweet & Delicious, But Something Much More

Gateaux Inc

The scrumptious wedding cake is by Gateaux Inc.  The bride and groom are pleased with their choice.  At the wedding reception, the guests’ taste buds will be delighted with satisfaction and pleasure. - The exceptional invoking of enjoyment to their taste buds is certain. But, even grander is the creativity applied by Gateaux Inc.’s exemplary baker artisans, and rightly so.   But, if one listens carefully, or thinks reflectively, there is also an unspoken beauty that communicates itself far beyond human taste buds and digestion. Far, but near are lovely feelings and thoughts branding the cake’s design, gifted by its creator. Is it not plain for all to see?  Unfortunately, not widely appreciated, is this bold and influential unseen array of “goodnesses” throughout the whole wedding planning endeavour!  These “goodnesses” are not “playing hide and seek” with us, but, rather, we with them. Be it bride or groom or, wedding and event professional, wedding planning participants beware; becoming a bit jaded may be inevitable. So “par for the course” that one misses the “real-stuff” for which the Wedding or Wedding Industry is made.

So, where am I going with this? Simply,  the same bride and groom who spends hours scouting for just the right cake, or dress or head-piece is the one who is sold short on the really important things inherent to the Wedding Day. It is a psychological truth that a thing can be enjoyed more when it is understood. Especially, when that “thing” is completely about what is good, lovely and true about being married? What is material and commercial has its allure, but, from the beginning, there are the deeper things that companion marriage. Is there not a way for wedding professionals, no matter what their contribution to a wedding day, help a couple along? Is it really all about “getting the gig?”  Suffice it to say, for many, “yes” would be the answer. But, I ask, “Has it really become all that debase?”

"Married and Loving It"
By Dr. Linda
www.pinterest.com/livingfestive
So what can you, or I do to bring out the spotlight on the things that start where we can not see? Things, that when launched, have deep effect on what we can see?  So, as to not talk in riddles! Let’s apply this to my contribution to a couple’s wedding planning experience.  These brief, but few examples, are hopefully inspiring, invoking thought and revisions in your own contribution to the Wedding Industry.

Firstly, I see a bride and groom as persons, not as dollar signs. They are not my “meal-ticket”.

Secondly, I lose nothing by taking the time to help a marrying couple feel good about the big step they are taking. I remind them of the benefits of the deeper things influencing their decision to marry, and, how those things, once identified and embraced, make marriage a significantly grand proposition.

Thirdly, I help them to locate these absolute values, resident in all human beings before the first man and woman, became the first bride and groom. These absolute values haven’t changed.  However, an oblivious generation may be unaware and un-embracing of them. - To pick a few – faithfulness, unconditional love, kindness, forgiveness, compassion, and others.

There is so much detail and “real –life” that I could offer, but, I will stay brief and to the point. Hoping that you will volunteer some of what you are doing to bring awareness about the silent and present finer things brought over the “marriage threshold” So, lets apply this to your contributions to the industry, and its bride and groom customers.

Begin By Thinking About The Good, Lovely, Right & True For Your Marrying Clients

"Understanding Brings Fullest Enjoyment?"
In short, your wedding and event career can be…

1. Enjoyed more, by identifying meaning and purpose, and other things of value.  Not just for a bride and groom, but for yourself.  - “Happy Wedding and Event Professional” makes a “Happy Bride and Groom!” (Dr. Linda’s quote)

2. Foundationally stronger because it is situated upon the “High Road”.  No matter how many “under –the-table” deals between “here to day, gone tomorrow” competitors, you will thrive, not survive.

3. Possess “future”, because you have “sown” into the lives of each couple.  By reminding them of what is really important within the context of your services.  And, that, in such a way they will remember you.  Perhaps you were the only wedding and event professional wearing the “human face” of the very qualities they needed to get through a rough patch. The “kindness of kindness” should not be underrated.  The “rightness of right” is profoundly and simply just that.

4. More affluent… because, people like me, who are genuinely captivated by “what is good, lovely, right and true”, will want to work with you.  It is so rewarding to be a career companion with a person of “like!”  Especially, when “like” is of this nature! I will be able to trust you. I will know that you will ensure that a bride and groom derive the fullest enjoyment of what they are building toward. If not, the glitter of the glitz” is all they will have when the wedding reception “party” is over.  Just those blurry few hours, and nothing else!  Enrich their wedding planning experience, by assisting them in enriching their lives. And, if you need a little help on “how” to better do this, call me or e-mail me.  My life is enriched by helping you, and yours enriched by taking the step to be a better person. And, this will make you a better Wedding and Event Professional.

Reinforce By Referring To Those With This Deeper Values Perspective

Moreover, be kind to your clients when you refer.  This also helps me too.  We are in this “Wedding
www.facebook.com/legallymarried
Wedding Officiators, Marriage Minsters
Wedding Clergy, Justice-of-the-Peace
Industry”
together, and we can decide what we want the “climate” to be! Please, when referring your clients to a Wedding Officiator, don’t take kick-backs” from the one to whom you are referring. Don’t refer to a friend, knowing that they are not really good at what they do.  Don’t encourage the couple to use an in-experienced family member or friend. (This won’t bode well for you when they do a poor job). Don’t refer to the one with the biggest “fanfare” or the one better at the “wine and dine!”  To look good, ensure a future in the industry, do learn about “What Makes a Stellar Wedding Officiant”.  And, since this will take knowledge that you do not possess now, contact me. I am an expert educator on “things ceremony”, and “things wedding officiator”.

Finally, I leave you where we started. It is a psychological truth that a thing can be enjoyed more when it is understood.  Help a bride and groom spot the finer things wanting to be seen. Especially, when that “thing” is completely about what is good, lovely, right and true about being married? What is material and commercial has its allure, but, from the beginning, there are the deeper things that companion marriage.
